MISSION STATEMENT

Duininck Concrete’s Concrete Future Scholarship Fund is dedicated to fostering the education and professional development of future leaders in the concrete industry. We are committed to providing financial assistance to two students annually, empowering them to pursue academic excellence and achieve their career aspirations within the field of Concrete Industry Management at South Dakota State University.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Concrete Futures Scholarship Fund is to invest in the potential of promising students, recognizing that their success not only enriches their individual lives but also contributes to the sustainable growth and prosperity of the communities we serve. By offering a renewable scholarship of $7,500 per year for four years, we aim to cultivate a cadre of skilled professionals who will drive innovation, uphold standards of excellence, and embody the values of integrity and stewardship within the concrete industry.

By nurturing talent and providing access to resources, we aspire to shape a generation of leaders who will build upon the foundations we lay today, creating a legacy of knowledge, opportunity, and enduring impact within the concrete industry and beyond.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • High school junior, senior or college undergrad attending school within 40 miles of a Duininck Concrete location
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
  • Enrolled in Concrete Industry Management at South Dakota State University
  • Passionate about the concrete industry

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA in the Concrete Industry Management Program
  • Complete a summer internship with Duininck Concrete during tenure
  • Remain in good standing with South Dakota State University
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to the concrete industry
  • Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Complete the official scholarship application form on our website
  2. Submit a personal statement outlining your career goals and interest in the concrete industry
  3. Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, or community leaders
  4. Submit your academic transcripts
  5. Meet the application deadline (check our website for the current date)
